Israeli fire killed 10 Palestinians in Gaza Wednesday morning, Palestinian media outlets reported after an IDF reserve officer was said to be severely wounded in the northern Gaza Strip overnight.

According to a statement by the Israeli military, militants opened fire at IDF troops conducting "routine operational activity near the Yellow Line in the northern Gaza Strip," wounding a reserve officer.

The statement added that "IDF armored units and IAF aircraft conducted precise strikes" in response to the incident. Israeli strikes were reported across the Gaza Strip, with seven people being killed in Gaza City and three others being killed in Khan Yunis, according to Quds News.

Two men and a 12-year-old boy killed in Israeli shelling in Kizan Abu Rashwan, south of Khan Yunis, were evacuated to the city's Nasser Hospital, the Shehab News Agency reported.

According to the outlet, the three were killed as a result of Israeli artillery shelling on homes in the area. Fire from Israeli military vehicles was also reported in central and southern Khan Yunis, and the Israeli Navy is reportedly shelling the city's coast.
